Motor Drivers

The Alpha and Omega Semiconductor SMM product series integrates a half-bridge gate driver with a high/low side N-channel MOSFET in one package.  The SMM has slew control to adjust the source and sink current to achieve effective EMI suppression and adds protections to make the system more robust. The SMM products are well suited for small-size form factor motor applications.

Alpha and Omega Semiconductor's standalone driver IC products includ3-phase driver ICs and half-bridge driver ICs for motor drive applications. The 3-phase driver IC products have an Integrated bootstrap diode, adjustable dead-time control, sleep mode for power saving, and multiple protection functions such as fault indication output. AOS 3-phase driver IC features an easy design and reduces the layout space of the PCB. The half-bridge driver IC allows circuit designers greater flexibility and can be used for multiple topologies, such as buck and buck/boost converters. These Half-bridge driver ICs can form a full bridge configuration and are well-suited for DC brushless motors. The standalone driver IC product series has an industry-standard package suited for motor drive applications such as power tools, outdoor equipment, and e-mobility.
